BCDEA Scholarships

The BCDEA is offering a total of $2500 in scholarships (up to $500 each) to its members’ students, in order to support dance education in British Columbia. Students may apply for scholarships on the basis of either performance or choreography. Note that any student applying for scholarships must be sponsored by their school dance teacher, who must be a current member of the BCDEA.

Scholarship money may be applied by a graduating student to tuition in a dance program at an accredited post-secondary institution or at an approved pre-professional training program. Scholarship money may be applied by any student to an approved summer dance institute.

Awards will be paid only upon proof of registration in and/or payment for the specified program. This requirement will be clarified with each individual scholarship winner upon their selection. The money granted will be the lesser of $500 or the cost of the program.
